I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and start to 2011.

I have to send my apologies to everyone for not updating the blog for quite a while. We have again had a very busy year and unfortunately the blog has suffered. It is one of my new years resolutions to update the blog every Wednesday morning from now on. Feel free to shout and complain if I do not manage to do this!

I'll start by sharing some good news - we have two new members of staff at CKP.

Louisa

Having known Louisa after Andy documented her wedding earlier this year, it was a wonderful surprise to see her application when we started looking for a studio and business development manager here at CKP. As you can see she got the job but what we got, apart from a wonderful person, is a point of view from a current client. For me this is invaluable because we succeed as a business by not only providing great photography but by offering our clients the best possible customer service. Louisa's experience as a bride will help us make sure that we see things from our clients point of view.

Poppy

Poppy has also joined us here to train as a photographer and post production guru. She is a very talented photographer and has already produced some fantastic images from recent weddings, I am not overstating that Poppy has the potential to become one of the UK's best wedding photographers. Of course, it takes a lot of effort to become a good photographer and I am relishing teaching Poppy how we do things here at CKP and watching her grow into an amazing talent........watch this space!


Other news

2011 is turning out to be an exciting year for us here at CKP Weddings not only do Andy and I have to discuss more feminine things in the office, thanks to Louisa and Poppy, but we will be visiting some interesting places to document great weddings from classic European destinations to the exotic in Asia. We will also be visiting some new wedding venues within the UK that we have not worked at before and we are looking forward to seeing them for the first time. We also have other plans for CKP during this coming year and we will announce these as and when we can.

We had a few clients that we signed non disclosure agreements with so, unfortunately, we are unable to show those weddings but we do have a backlog of other amazing weddings that we will be feeding the blog on a regular basis in the coming weeks. We also have our Picture of the Year competition coming up soon as well.

My last comment has to be left for our 2010 clients, THANK YOU................Thank you so much for trusting us to document your wedding day, we enjoyed each and every wedding for all very different reasons. We hope that our images give you some amazing memories for many, many years to come.
